AARS Bursaries

To all young scientists that do not fit into FEBS YTF and trans-YTF travel grants criteria and to the ones that applied to FEBS YTF and trans-YTF travel grants but were not selected due to a limiting number of YTF grants, a number of AARS Bursaries will be available to support participation in this event. AARS Bursaries (714 euros) will partially cover the registration fee (including costs of event meals, and shared accommodation in a four-bed apartment). The rest of the registration fee (186 euros) will be paid by the awardee. Travel costs are not covered by AARS bursary. The selection of applicants to receive AARS bursary will be carried out by the Meeting Organizers on the basis of CVs, motivation letters, and submitted abstracts, but representation of different topics at the event, and career stage, geographical distribution, and gender balance may also be taken into consideration. Eligibility criteria are shown below.

The deadline for applications for the AARS bursaries is April 1st, 2025.

Abstract submission is mandatory for application for AARS bursary. Applicant must be the first author of the abstract.

Applicants selected by the Meeting Organizers will be notified in May.

IMPORTANT: Applicants that were not selected for FEBS YTF and trans-YTF grants will be automatically taken into consideration for AARS bursaries. There is no need to apply for AARS bursaries if you have submitted your application for the FEBS YTF or the trans-YTF awards.
